Akshata Murty, born on April 1, 1980, is a prominent Indian heiress and businesswoman known for her multifaceted career as a fashion designer and manager. She is the daughter of N. R. Narayana Murthy, a co-founder of the renowned Indian IT company Infosys, and Sudha Murty, a respected author and philanthropist. Akshata holds a significant stake of zero point ninety-three percent in Infosys, alongside investments in various British enterprises.

Since her marriage to Rishi Sunak in 2009, Akshata has been in the public eye, particularly as her husband served as the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party from 2022 to 2024. Rishi Sunak also held the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2020 to 2022 under Prime Minister Boris Johnson and briefly led the Opposition in late 2024.
