Amrita Singh

Amrita Shivender Singh, born on February 9, 1958, is a prominent Indian actress celebrated for her impactful contributions to Hindi cinema. She made her acting debut in the film Betaab in nineteen eighty-three, quickly establishing herself as a leading figure in the film industry during the eighties and early nineties.

Throughout her illustrious career, Singh starred in a series of commercially successful films, including Mard, Chameli Ki Shaadi, Naam, Khudgarz, Thikana, Waaris, Toofan, Dil Aashna Hai, Aaina, and Rang. Her performance in Aaina earned her the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress, solidifying her status as a talented actress.

After taking a break from acting in nineteen ninety-three, Singh made a remarkable return to the silver screen with the film 23rd March 1931: Shaheed in two thousand two. She garnered acclaim for her roles in Kalyug, Shootout at Lokhandwala, 2 States, Hindi Medium, and Badla, showcasing her versatility and enduring appeal.

In addition to her film career, Singh also made her mark on television, starring in the popular soap opera Kkavyanjali from two thousand five to two thousand six. Her personal life includes a marriage to actor Saif Ali Khan from nineteen ninety-one to two thousand four, with whom she shares two children, Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
