Augustin Robespierre

Augustin Robespierre, born on January twenty-first, seventeen sixty-three, was a prominent French lawyer and politician, recognized as the younger brother of the influential revolutionary leader, Maximilien Robespierre. His political ideologies closely mirrored those of his brother, reflecting a shared commitment to the revolutionary cause.

As the tides of the French Revolution shifted, Augustin found himself inextricably linked to his brother's fate. When Maximilien was arrested on the ninth of Thermidor, Augustin demonstrated his loyalty by volunteering for arrest, a decision that would ultimately lead to his tragic end.

On July twenty-eighth, seventeen ninety-four, Augustin Robespierre met his demise at the guillotine, alongside his brother and twenty of their supporters. This act not only marked the end of his life but also underscored the perilous nature of revolutionary politics during this tumultuous period in French history.
