Babita Kumari, born on November twentieth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished former Indian professional wrestler and a prominent politician hailing from Haryana. She has made her mark in the world of wrestling, earning multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games, including a gold medal in the two thousand fourteen edition, and silver medals in two thousand ten and two thousand eighteen. Her victory in two thousand fourteen made her the second Indian woman wrestler to achieve this honor, following in the footsteps of her sister, Geeta Phogat, who won gold in two thousand ten.

In addition to her Commonwealth success, Babita represented India at the Rio two thousand sixteen Olympics in the fifty-three kilogram women's wrestling category, although she did not secure a podium finish.
