He is the son of the legendary Canadian hockey player Bobby Hull, and comes from a family steeped in sports, being the nephew of Dennis Hull and the younger brother of Brett Hull. Bart's athletic journey began at Vancouver College High School in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he excelled in various sports before earning an athletic scholarship to Boise State University.

After graduating from Boise State, Hull was drafted by the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League but soon found himself traded to the Ottawa Rough Riders. His time with the Rough Riders was cut short due to an ACL injury, limiting him to just three games in nineteen ninety-one. He made a brief return to the CFL in nineteen ninety-four, playing two games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Following his football career, Hull transitioned to minor league hockey, participating in six games over three seasons with the Idaho Steelheads in the West Coast Hockey League. His hockey statistics were modest, with only four penalty minutes recorded. Additionally, he dabbled in indoor football with the Idaho Stallions and played a game in nineteen ninety-five with the Los Angeles Blades in Roller Hockey International. In two thousand thirteen, he took on a new role as Vice President of Business Development for the St. Charles Chill during their final season.

Currently residing in Dallas, Texas, Hull has successfully run a construction company while balancing family life. He is married to Vandara Sareth Kheao, with whom he has a daughter named Brett Madison and a son named Brenden.
