Camilla Collett

Camilla Collett, born on January twenty-third, eighteen thirteen, was a pioneering Norwegian writer and a prominent advocate for women's rights. Often celebrated as the first Norwegian feminist, her contributions to literature and social reform have left an indelible mark on Norwegian culture.

As the younger sister of the esteemed poet Henrik Wergeland, Collett was immersed in a literary environment that fostered her own creative talents.
