She embarked on her musical journey in two thousand four after crossing paths with producer Ryan Leslie, who recognized her potential and signed her to his record label, NextSelection Lifestyle Group. Her career took a significant turn when she was discovered by Sean Combs, leading to a partnership with Bad Boy Records that resulted in the release of her debut single, 'Me & U' in two thousand six.
