Duwa

Duwa, also known as Du'a, was born in the year one thousand two hundred eighty-two and ascended to the position of Khan of the Chagatai Khanate, where he ruled until his death in one thousand three hundred seven. As the second son of Baraq, he emerged as a significant figure in the history of the Chagatayid Khanate, known for his lengthy reign.

During his time as Khan, Duwa was recognized for accepting the nominal supremacy of the Yuan dynasty, which was led by the Great Khan. This political alignment marked a pivotal moment in the history of the Chagatai Khanate, as it established a connection with the broader Mongol Empire.

Under Duwa's leadership, the Chagatai Khanate experienced a period of prosperity and expansion, reaching its zenith. His reign is noted for its stability and the flourishing of trade and culture within the region, solidifying his legacy as the longest reigning monarch of the Chagatayid Khanate.
