Fernand Choquette

Fernand Choquette, born on October twenty-seventh, nineteen ninety-five, in Montmagny, Quebec, was a distinguished figure in Canadian law and politics. He was the son of Philippe-Auguste Choquette and Marie Bender. After completing his education at Université Laval, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in nineteen fifteen and a Bachelor of Laws in nineteen eighteen, he embarked on a career that would span several decades.

Choquette's professional journey began as a lawyer, a role he fulfilled for over ten years. His passion for education led him to become a university teacher, a position he held for more than twenty years. His commitment to public service was evident when he entered politics, serving as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party from nineteen thirty-nine to nineteen forty-eight, representing the riding of Montmagny.

Despite facing defeats in the provincial elections of nineteen thirty-five and nineteen thirty-six, Choquette's political career flourished. He was appointed as a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal in nineteen fifty-six, a position he held until nineteen seventy.
