Gummo Marx

Gummo Marx, born on October twenty-third, nineteen ninety-three, was an American vaudevillian performer and comedian, renowned for his unique contributions to the world of entertainment. As the second youngest of the five Marx Brothers, he carved out a niche for himself in the vibrant landscape of vaudeville, showcasing his talents alongside his siblings.

His journey in the performing arts took a significant turn when he was drafted into the US Army in nineteen eighteen during World War I. This pivotal moment led to his departure from the family act, with his brother Zeppo stepping in to fill his shoes. Despite his early involvement in the theatre, Gummo's passion for the stage waned over time.

Unlike his brothers, Gummo never appeared in any of their iconic films, choosing instead to pursue a successful career in business. His transition from performer to businessman marked a distinct shift in his professional life, allowing him to thrive outside the limelight.
