Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, born on June twenty-ninth, nineteen twenty-six, served as the Emir of Kuwait from December thirty-first, nineteen seventy-seven until his passing in two thousand six. As the thirteenth ruler of his family's dynasty, Jaber III played a pivotal role in transforming Kuwait from a traditional society into a modernized state.
His reign was marked by significant events, including the Gulf War, during which he successfully led Kuwait in its defense against Ba'athist Iraq and Saddam Hussein, with crucial support from the United States.
