Justin Trudeau

Justin Trudeau, born on December twenty-fifth, nineteen seventy-one, in Ottawa, Ontario, is a prominent Canadian politician who served as the twenty-third prime minister of Canada from two thousand fifteen to two thousand twenty-five. As the eldest son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, he was destined for a life in the public eye. Trudeau's educational journey took him through Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, McGill University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, and the University of British Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Education.

Before entering politics, Trudeau dedicated himself to teaching at the secondary school level in Vancouver and later took on leadership roles in youth-focused organizations, including chairing Katimavik, a youth charity, from two thousand two to two thousand six. His political career began in earnest when he was elected as the member of Parliament for Papineau in two thousand eight. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the Liberal Party's Official Opposition critic for youth and multiculturalism in two thousand nine and later for citizenship and immigration.

In two thousand thirteen, Trudeau was elected leader of the Liberal Party, and in the subsequent federal election, he led the party to a historic majority government. His tenure as prime minister was marked by significant policy initiatives, including the introduction of the Canada Child Benefit, the legalization of recreational cannabis, and the establishment of a federal carbon tax. Trudeau's government also focused on international issues, such as resettling Syrian refugees and negotiating major trade agreements.

However, a political crisis in late twenty-four led to his resignation in January twenty-five, marking the end of his premiership.
