Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Lamar Odom

Lamar Odom, born on November sixth, nineteen seventy-nine, is a former professional basketball player who made a significant impact in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is best known for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he contributed to the team's championship victories in two thousand nine and two thousand ten. Odom's talent was recognized early in his career when he was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in two thousand eleven.

Odom's basketball journey began in high school, where he earned national player of the year honors from Parade in nineteen ninety-seven. He then played college basketball at the University of Rhode Island, achieving all-conference recognition during his sole season in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Los Angeles Clippers selected him as the fourth overall pick in the first round of the nineteen ninety-nine NBA draft, and he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team the following year.

Throughout his career, Odom faced challenges, including two suspensions for violating the league's anti-drug policy during his four seasons with the Clippers. After becoming a restricted free agent, he signed with the Miami Heat for the two thousand three to two thousand four season before being traded to the Lakers. He spent seven successful seasons with the Lakers before a trade to the Dallas Mavericks in two thousand eleven marked the beginning of a decline in his career. Odom returned to the Clippers in two thousand twelve and had a brief stint playing in Spain in two thousand fourteen.

In addition to his NBA career, Odom represented the United States national team, winning a bronze medal at the two thousand four Olympics and a gold medal at the FIBA World Championship in two thousand ten. Off the court, he was married to Khloé Kardashian from two thousand nine to two thousand sixteen, during which time he appeared on the reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and starred in their own series, Khloé & Lamar. In October two thousand fifteen, Odom faced a life-threatening situation when he was hospitalized in a comatose state after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, leading him to seek treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
