Lincoln Díaz-Balart, born on August thirteenth, nineteen fifty-four, is a distinguished Cuban-American attorney and politician. He made significant contributions to American politics as a member of the Republican Party, representing Florida's twenty-first congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from nineteen ninety-three until two thousand eleven.
Before his tenure in Congress, Díaz-Balart served in both the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate, where he established a reputation for his commitment to public service and advocacy for the Hispanic community. His leadership extended beyond legislative duties as he took on the role of chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute.
Upon retiring from Congress in two thousand eleven, he passed the torch to his younger brother, Mario Díaz-Balart, who had previously represented Florida's twenty-fifth congressional district. Following his political career, Lincoln Díaz-Balart transitioned into the private sector, founding a law practice and a consulting firm, both of which are based in Miami, Florida.
