Luísa Sobral

Luísa Sobral, born on September eighteenth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a talented Portuguese musician, singer, composer, songwriter, writer, and record producer. She first gained recognition in two thousand three when she secured third place in the inaugural season of Ídolos, the Portuguese adaptation of the popular Idols television series.

After a brief hiatus to further her education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Luísa made her mark in the music industry with the release of her debut album, The Cherry on My Cake, in two thousand eleven. This album showcased her unique style and songwriting prowess, establishing her as a prominent figure in the Portuguese music scene.

One of her most notable achievements came when she composed the song "Amar pelos dois," which was performed by her brother, Salvador Sobral. This heartfelt piece won the Eurovision Song Contest in two thousand seventeen, marking a significant milestone for Portugal in the competition's history.
