Marc Staal

Marc Staal, born on January thirteenth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Canadian professional ice hockey player and coach. Currently serving as a player development assistant for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League (NHL), Staal has made a significant impact on the sport both on and off the ice.

Over the course of his impressive career, Staal played seventeen seasons in the NHL, showcasing his skills as a defenceman for teams including the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, and Philadelphia Flyers. With more than one thousand one hundred games played, he has established himself as a formidable presence in the league.

As the second oldest of the four Staal brothers who have all played in the NHL, Marc is part of a unique legacy. He is the third brother to reach the milestone of one thousand games played, contributing to the family's historic achievement of being the first trio of brothers to each reach this mark. Notably, Marc is the only defenceman among his siblings and the only brother, alongside Jared, who has yet to win the coveted Stanley Cup.
