Marina Vlady

Marina Vlady, born on May 10, 1938, is a celebrated French actress, singer, writer, film actor, and sculptor. With a diverse career spanning several decades, she has made significant contributions to the arts, particularly in film. Her notable film credits include acclaimed works such as The Conjugal Bed (1963), Two or Three Things I Know About Her (1967), The Flavor of Corn (1986), and Orson Welles' Chimes at Midnight (1966).

Vlady's personal life has also been a source of inspiration for her creative endeavors. She penned a memoir titled Vladimir, or the Aborted Flight, which chronicles her ten-year, long-distance relationship with her third husband, the renowned Russian poet and actor Vladimir Vysotsky. This relationship not only influenced her writing but also inspired several of Vysotsky's poignant songs.

In addition to her artistic achievements, Vlady has been an outspoken advocate for social issues. At a time when abortion was illegal in France, she bravely supported the cause and participated in protests against the deportation of Arab workers, demonstrating her commitment to social justice.
