Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld

Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, born Marie Louise Victoire on 17 August 1786, was a prominent German aristocrat whose legacy extends to the British monarchy as the mother of Queen Victoria. Her life was marked by significant transitions, beginning with her marriage to Emich Karl, Prince of Leiningen, which established her in the realm of nobility.

Following the death of her first husband in 1814, Victoria took on the role of regent for the principality of Leiningen, overseeing the governance during the minority of her son, Karl.
