Rocky Johnson, born on August twenty-four, nineteen forty-four, was a prominent Canadian professional wrestler whose legacy continues to inspire many in the wrestling world. He made history as the first Black NWA Georgia Heavyweight Champion and held the NWA Television Championship twice, showcasing his exceptional talent and determination.

In nineteen eighty-three, Johnson achieved a significant milestone by winning the WWF Tag Team Championship alongside his partner Tony Atlas. This victory marked them as the first Black tag team champions in WWE history, a groundbreaking accomplishment that paved the way for future generations of wrestlers.

Beyond his wrestling accolades, Rocky Johnson is also known as the father of actor and wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, and the grandfather of wrestler Simone 'Ava' Johnson. His family continues to carry on his legacy in the world of professional wrestling.
