Ronald M. Sega

Ronald M. Sega, born on December fourth, nineteen fifty-two, in Cleveland, Ohio, is a distinguished American former astronaut and military officer. With a rich heritage of Slovene origin, he has made significant contributions to both the aerospace and academic fields. Sega's career is marked by his service as a major general in the United States Air Force and his tenure as an astronaut with NASA.

In addition to his military and space endeavors, Sega has held prominent academic positions. He is currently a professor of systems engineering and serves as the Vice President for Energy and the Environment at the Colorado State University Research Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Colorado State University. Furthermore, he is the Vice President and Enterprise Executive for Energy and Environment at Ohio State University.

From August two thousand five to August two thousand seven, Sega played a pivotal role as the Under Secretary of the Air Force, where he influenced key decisions impacting the military and aerospace sectors. His leadership and expertise have been invaluable throughout his career.
