Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Shahrbaraz

Shahrbaraz, a prominent military leader and governor, rose to power as the shah of the Sasanian Empire for a brief yet impactful period from twenty-seven April to nine June in the year six hundred thirty. His ascent to the throne was marked by the usurpation of Ardashir III, a move that would ultimately lead to his downfall.

Before claiming the crown, Shahrbaraz served as a spahbed, or general, under the reign of Khosrow II from five hundred ninety to six hundred twenty-eight. His military prowess was particularly evident during the Byzantine–Sasanian War of six hundred two to six hundred twenty-eight, where he played a crucial role in the conflict that defined an era.

Despite his significant contributions to the Sasanian military efforts, Shahrbaraz's reign was tragically short-lived. After just forty days on the throne, he met his end at the hands of Iranian nobles, a testament to the turbulent political landscape of the time. His legacy, however, remains a fascinating chapter in the history of the Sasanian Empire.
