Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Sun Jian

Sun Jian, born in the year one hundred fifty-five, was a prominent military general and politician during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. Known for his personal bravery and resourcefulness, he emerged as a significant figure amidst the chaos of his time. In the year one hundred ninety, he allied with Yuan Shu as part of a coalition of warlords aiming to overthrow the tyrannical Dong Zhuo, who had seized control over the puppet Emperor Xian of Han.

Despite his limited control over troops and territory, Sun Jian's reputation for valor made him a formidable opponent in the eyes of Dong Zhuo, who regarded him as one of the most influential leaders alongside Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Liu Biao. However, the coalition was short-lived, and by the following year, China descended into civil war, marking a turbulent period in its history.

Tragically, Sun Jian's life was cut short in the year one hundred ninety-one when he was killed in battle during an offensive campaign against Liu Biao. His legacy, however, continued through his son, Sun Quan, who would later become a central figure in the Three Kingdoms era and establish the Eastern Wu dynasty in the year two hundred twenty-two.

Posthumously, Sun Jian was honored with the name Emperor Wulie and the temple name Shizu, reflecting his significant contributions to the military and political landscape of his time.
