Tae-Ku Park

Tae-Ku Park, born on March twenty-seventh, two thousand one, is a distinguished Canadian taekwondo athlete who has made a significant mark in the sport. He showcased his exceptional skills at the 2023 Pan American Games held in Santiago, where he earned a bronze medal, adding to his family's legacy in taekwondo.

Park's rich heritage is a blend of cultures; his father hails from Korea, while his mother, of Italian descent, was born in Chile. This diverse background has undoubtedly influenced his approach to the sport, which is deeply rooted in his family. With a remarkable lineage, Tae-Ku comes from a family that boasts sixteen black belts in taekwondo, with the martial art being practiced by his grandparents, father, aunts, cousins, and brothers.

In a remarkable display of talent, Tae-Ku's sister, Skylar Park, also competed at the 2023 Pan American Games, where she clinched a gold medal. This achievement made them the first siblings in taekwondo history to medal at the same Pan American Games, further solidifying the Park family's reputation in the sport.
