Theodoric II

Theodoric II, born in the year four hundred twenty-six, was a prominent sovereign who ruled over the Aquitanian Goths from four hundred fifty-three to four hundred sixty-six. His reign is marked by a significant alliance with the Roman Empire, particularly during the early years when he served as a loyal ally.

Throughout his rule, Theodoric's Gothic warriors frequently acted as auxiliary forces for the Roman army, showcasing their military prowess and dedication. His relationship with the Roman emperor Avitus was notably strong, reflecting a period of cooperation and mutual respect between the Goths and Romans.

However, the death of Avitus in four hundred fifty-six marked a turning point in Theodoric's reign.
