Wolfgang Van Halen, born on March 16, 1991, is an accomplished American musician known for his exceptional skills as a bassist. He is the son of actress Valerie Bertinelli and legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen, which placed him in a unique position within the music industry from an early age.
From 2007 to 2020, Wolfgang showcased his talent as the bassist for the iconic rock band Van Halen, performing alongside his father and uncle Alex. His tenure with the band was marked by a blend of familial legacy and musical innovation, contributing to the band's enduring legacy.
In addition to his work with Van Halen, Wolfgang was a member of the heavy metal band Tremonti from 2012 to 2016, further expanding his musical repertoire. Following the passing of his father in 2020, which led to the disbanding of Van Halen, he shifted his focus to his solo project, Mammoth.
As the sole performer for Mammoth, Wolfgang writes, records, and produces all instruments and vocals. His debut album, Mammoth WVH, was released in 2021, followed by his second album, Mammoth II, in 2023, showcasing his growth as an artist and his commitment to his craft.
