A'ja Wilson, born on August 8, 1996, is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Las Vegas Aces in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of her generation, Wilson has made a significant impact on the sport, earning her place among the all-time greats in WNBA history.

Wilson's collegiate career at the University of South Carolina was nothing short of remarkable. She played a pivotal role in leading the Gamecocks to their first NCAA Women's Basketball Championship in 2017, where she was honored as the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. In 2018, she achieved a historic third consecutive SEC Player of the Year award, guiding South Carolina to a record fourth straight SEC Tournament Championship and becoming the all-time leading scorer in the program's history. In the 2018 WNBA draft, Wilson was selected first overall by the Las Vegas Aces.
