A. Y. Jackson

Alexander Young Jackson, born on October 3, 1882, was a prominent Canadian painter renowned for his pivotal role in the Group of Seven, a collective that significantly shaped the landscape of Canadian art. His artistic journey was marked by a deep commitment to capturing the essence of Canada's natural beauty, which he portrayed with vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes.

Throughout his illustrious career, Jackson not only contributed to the evolution of art in Canada but also played a crucial role in uniting artists from Montreal and Toronto.
