Aaron Ekblad

Aaron Ekblad, born on February seventh, nineteen ninety-six, is a distinguished Canadian professional ice hockey player. He serves as a defenceman and alternate captain for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Ekblad's journey in hockey began with a remarkable achievement when he was selected first overall in the two thousand eleven Ontario Hockey League (OHL) draft, showcasing his exceptional talent from an early age.

In two thousand fourteen, Ekblad was again chosen first overall, this time by the Panthers in the NHL entry draft, marking the beginning of his professional career. He made his NHL debut that same year and quickly made a name for himself. In his inaugural season, he was selected for the two thousand fifteen NHL All-Star Game and was honored with the Calder Memorial Trophy, awarded to the league's best rookie for the two thousand fourteen to two thousand fifteen season.

Before his successful NHL career, Ekblad played major junior ice hockey for the Barrie Colts of the OHL.
