Abbas ibn Ali

Abbas ibn Ali, born on the fifteenth of May in the year six hundred forty-seven, emerged as a prominent military leader in the early Islamic period. He is best known for his unwavering loyalty and bravery during the pivotal events surrounding the battle against the Umayyad caliph Yazid ibn Mu'awiya, which took place between six hundred eighty and six hundred eighty-three.

In a remarkable display of courage, Abbas was killed while attempting to secure water from the Euphrates River.
