Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Abdel Fattah al-Burhan

Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, born on July eleventh, nineteen sixty, is a prominent Sudanese military officer and politician who has played a pivotal role in the country's leadership since two thousand nineteen. Following the Sudanese Revolution in April of that year, he was appointed to lead the Transitional Military Council (TMC) just a day after its formation, stepping in due to widespread public discontent with the previous leader, Ahmed Awad Ibn Auf.

Al-Burhan served as the chairman of the TMC until the implementation of a draft constitutional declaration on August seventeenth, which led to the establishment of the Transitional Sovereignty Council on August twenty-first, a body he initially headed. His leadership was extended by the Juba Agreement in two thousand, allowing him to remain at the helm of the Sovereignty Council for an additional twenty months, contrary to plans for his resignation in February two thousand twenty-one.

In October two thousand twenty-one, al-Burhan executed a coup d'état, dissolving the Sovereignty Council and subsequently reconstituting it with new members while retaining his position as chairman. He previously held the role of General Inspector of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and is currently leading the SAF in the ongoing conflict against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) amid the Sudanese civil war.

In a notable incident, al-Burhan survived an assassination attempt in July two thousand twenty-four, underscoring the volatile nature of his leadership and the challenges facing Sudan during this tumultuous period.
