Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud (1850–1928)

Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud, born in 1850, was a prominent statesperson and imam in the Arabian Peninsula. He is best remembered as the last emir of Nejd, a position he held during two distinct periods: from 1875 to 1876 and again from 1889 to 1891. His leadership came at a time of significant political change and development in the region.

As the youngest son of Emir Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah, Abdul Rahman was deeply rooted in the lineage of Saudi leadership. His family background provided him with a unique perspective on governance and the challenges faced by the emirate. His reign, though brief, was marked by efforts to navigate the complexities of tribal alliances and external pressures.

Abdul Rahman was also the father of Abdulaziz, who would go on to become the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
