Abdullah Abdul Kadir

Abdullah Abdul Kadir, also known as Munshi Abdullah, was born in 1796 in Malacca, Malaysia. He emerged as a prominent figure in the literary landscape of the Malay Archipelago, particularly in Singapore, where he made significant contributions as a journalist, writer, memoirist, and teacher.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Abdullah dedicated his life to the education and translation for colonial officials, primarily serving the British and Dutch.
