Abel Braga

Abel Braga, born on September first, nineteen fifty-two, is a distinguished Brazilian football coach and former player, currently serving as the technical director of Internacional. His journey in professional football began in nineteen sixty-eight with Fluminense, where he showcased his skills as a central defender.

Braga's contributions to the sport extend beyond his playing days; he earned a cap for the Brazilian national team and was part of the squad for the nineteen seventy-eight FIFA World Cup. After retiring in nineteen eighty-five, he transitioned into coaching, leading various clubs in Brazil and Portugal.

Throughout his coaching career, Braga has had multiple tenures at Fluminense and Internacional, where he achieved significant success, including winning the Copa Libertadores and the FIFA Club World Cup in two thousand six.
