He made history as an Olympic gold medalist, being the first Indian to secure an individual Olympic gold medal. Bindra's remarkable achievements include holding both the World and Olympic titles in the men's 10-metre air rifle event, a feat he accomplished at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2006 World Championships.

Throughout his illustrious twenty-two-year career, Bindra has amassed over one hundred fifty medals, including seven at the Commonwealth Games and three at the Asian Games. His contributions to sports have earned him the prestigious Padma Bhushan from the Government of India, and he is recognized as a leading influencer in shaping sports policy within the country.

In addition to his competitive success, Bindra served as a goodwill ambassador for the Indian contingent at the Rio 2016 Olympics, where he finished fourth in the finals of the 10-metre air rifle event.
