Abigail Strate

Abigail Strate, a talented ski jumper hailing from Calgary, Alberta, was born on February twenty-second, two thousand one. Her journey in ski jumping began at the tender age of six, showcasing her early passion and dedication to the sport.

At just ten years old, Strate made her international debut in Utah, marking the start of a promising career. Her hard work and perseverance culminated in a remarkable achievement at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where she played a pivotal role in securing Canada's first-ever Olympic medal in ski jumping—a bronze in the Mixed team event.

In addition to her Olympic success, Strate also competed in the Women's Normal Hill Individual event, finishing in twenty-third place with a total of one hundred sixty-one point nine. Her accomplishments on the international stage have made her a prominent figure in Canadian sports.

Outside of ski jumping, Abigail enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. She finds joy in mountain biking, beekeeping, gardening, and caring for her chickens, reflecting her love for nature and a balanced lifestyle.
