Abraham Cresques

Abraham Cresques, born on July eleventh, thirteen twenty-five, was a prominent Jewish cartographer, illuminator, and geographer from Palma, Mallorca, which was then part of the Crown of Aragon. His work during the fourteenth century significantly contributed to the field of cartography.

In collaboration with his son, Jehuda Cresques, Abraham is best known for the creation of the renowned Catalan Atlas in the year thirteen seventy-five. This masterpiece not only showcased their artistic skills but also reflected the geographical knowledge of the time.
