Abu Ayyub al-Ansari

Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, born Khalid ibn Zayd ibn Kulayb ibn Tha'laba in Yathrib, was a prominent figure in early Islamic history. He hailed from the Banu Najjar tribe and is celebrated as a close companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. His patronym, Abu Ayyub, translates to 'father of Ayyub,' reflecting the deep familial ties and respect within his community.

As one of the Ansar, or 'helpers,' Abu Ayyub played a crucial role in supporting Muhammad following the hijra, the migration to Medina in six hundred twenty-two.
