Abu Mansur al-Maturidi

Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, born in the year eight hundred ninety-three, was a prominent Islamic jurist and theologian whose intellectual legacy continues to influence Islamic thought. He is best known as the eponym of the Maturidi school of kalam, a significant theological framework within Sunnism. His contributions to Islamic philosophy and mysticism have established him as a key figure in the development of Islamic theology.

Originating from Māturīd, a district in Samarkand, al-Maturidi's works reflect a deep engagement with the Qur'an and Islamic jurisprudence. Among his notable writings is the 'Tafsir al-Maturidi,' a classic exegesis that offers profound insights into the meanings of the Qur'an.
