Acie Law

Acie Law, born on January twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-five, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player and coach. He made a significant impact during his four seasons at Texas A&M University, where he amassed one thousand six hundred fifty-three points and recorded five hundred forty assists. Known affectionately as "Captain Clutch," Law earned this nickname for his remarkable ability to perform under pressure, particularly highlighted by his iconic buzzer-beating three-pointer against the Texas Longhorns on March first, two thousand six.

Law's legacy at Texas A&M is cemented not only by his impressive statistics but also by memorable moments, such as his pivotal role in the Aggies' stunning upset over Kansas on February third, two thousand seven. In recognition of his contributions, the Texas A&M athletic department honored him by retiring his number one jersey, making him the first Aggie in any sport to receive this prestigious accolade.

Following his collegiate success, Law was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the two thousand seven NBA draft. Over the next few years, he played for several NBA teams, showcasing his skills on a larger stage. After his time in the NBA, Law transitioned to a successful career in Europe, where he played from two thousand eleven to two thousand fourteen, achieving remarkable success by winning the EuroLeague championship twice with Olympiacos in two thousand twelve and two thousand thirteen.
