Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Adam Gemili

Adam Gemili, born on October sixth, nineteen ninety-three, is a distinguished British retired sprinter who made his mark in athletics from two thousand ten to two thousand twenty-six. Competing at the elite level between two thousand twelve and two thousand twenty-three, he achieved remarkable success, including being crowned the 2014 European champion in the 200 metres.

Gemili's prowess extended beyond individual events; he was a three-time European champion in the 4 × 100 metres relay and played a pivotal role in the Great Britain team that clinched gold at the 2017 World Championships in the same event. His global achievements include finishing fourth in the 200 m at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and securing fourth and fifth places in separate editions of the World Championships.

Before his illustrious athletics career, Gemili was a professional football player, taking on the role of a defender. Following his retirement from elite athletics in two thousand twenty-six, he announced his return to football as a coach, now serving as a sprint coach at Chelsea's academy.

Notably, Gemili was the first British athlete and the first sprinter of either North African or Middle Eastern descent to run the 100 m in less than ten seconds and the 200 m in under twenty seconds. He also holds the distinction of being the first sprinter of his descent to break the ten-second barrier in the 100 metres.

In addition to his individual accolades, Gemili earned a silver medal in the 100 metres and the 4 × 100 m relay for England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He is a former World Junior champion at 100 m and a European Under-23 champion in both the 100 m and 4 × 100 m relay, alongside being a three-time national champion in the 200 m.
