Adam Hansen, born on May 11, 1981, is an accomplished Australian Ironman triathlete and a former professional road bicycle racer. His cycling career spanned from two thousand seven to two thousand twenty, and he made a brief return to the sport in two thousand twenty-two, continuing until two thousand twenty-three.
Throughout his impressive career, Hansen achieved five notable victories, including prestigious Grand Tour stage wins at the 2013 Giro d'Italia and the 2014 Vuelta a España. His remarkable consistency is highlighted by a record run of twenty consecutive Grand Tour starts and finishes from two thousand eleven to two thousand eighteen.
In March two thousand twenty-three, Hansen was elected as the president of the Cyclistes Professionnels Associés (CPA), an international non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the interests of professional cyclists.
