Adeola Olubamiji

Adeola Olubamiji, born on April third, nineteen eighty-five, is a distinguished Canadian engineer renowned for her expertise in metal and plastic additive manufacturing, commonly referred to as 3D printing.

In two thousand seventeen, she made history by becoming the first Black individual to earn a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the prestigious University of Saskatchewan, a venerable institution with a legacy spanning over one hundred twelve years.

Her groundbreaking work in the field has not only advanced the technology of 3D printing but has also contributed significantly to medical science, particularly in the recovery of damaged articular cartilage.

Adeola's passion for sharing knowledge led her to deliver a compelling TEDx Talk, where she discussed her innovative applications of 3D printing in healthcare, inspiring many with her journey and insights.
