Adidas Yeezy

Adidas Yeezy was a groundbreaking fashion collaboration that emerged from the creative vision of American rapper, designer, and entrepreneur Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, in partnership with the renowned German sportswear company Adidas. This collaboration was notable for its limited edition sneakers, which were released in a variety of unique colorways, alongside a diverse range of apparel including shirts, jackets, track pants, socks, slides, lingerie, and slippers.

The inaugural shoe model, the Boost 750, made its debut in February two thousand fifteen, marking the beginning of a significant cultural phenomenon. By two thousand twenty, Forbes recognized Yeezy's ascent as one of the great retail stories of the century, highlighting its profound influence on the fashion industry and its ability to inspire numerous other brands.

However, the collaboration faced a dramatic turn in October two thousand twenty-two when Adidas announced the immediate termination of its partnership with Ye. This decision followed controversial remarks made by Ye during an episode of the Drink Champs podcast, where he suggested that Adidas could not sever ties with him. His comments were part of a broader series of anti-Semitic statements, which ultimately led to the dissolution of the collaboration.

It is important to note that outside of the Adidas partnership, Yeezy also refers to Ye's independent company, Yeezy LLC, which operates separately from Adidas.
