Adolf von Harnack

His prolific contributions to religious literature spanned from eighteen seventy-three to nineteen twelve, during which he became known simply as Adolf Harnack. In nineteen fourteen, he was ennobled, adopting the 'von' in his name, a testament to his significant impact in the field.

He urged Christians to critically examine the authenticity of doctrines that emerged in the early church, notably rejecting the historicity of the Gospel of John in favor of the Synoptic Gospels.
