Adrian Alphona

Adrian Alphona is a talented Filipino-Canadian comic book artist renowned for his significant contributions to the world of graphic storytelling. He gained widespread recognition for his work on Marvel Comics' acclaimed series, Runaways, which he co-created alongside writer Brian K. Vaughan. This collaboration marked a pivotal moment in his career, showcasing his unique artistic style and storytelling abilities.

In the early stages of his career, Alphona was slated to pencil the second volume of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. However, when writer Terry Moore took over from Sean McKeever, he made the decision to step back from comics entirely, opting to provide only the covers for the new series. This shift allowed him to explore other creative avenues before making a triumphant return to the comic scene.

In June two thousand nine, Alphona re-emerged in the industry, contributing his artistic talents to the Captain Britain and MI: 13 annual. His versatility was further demonstrated when he collaborated with Ron Garney on the series Uncanny X-Force, solidifying his reputation as a skilled illustrator.

In August two thousand thirteen, Marvel Comics launched the monthly series Ms. Marvel, featuring Alphona as the artist and G. Willow Wilson as the writer.
