Adrian Newey

Adrian Newey, born on December 26, 1958, is a distinguished British engineer and aerodynamicist, renowned for his exceptional contributions to the world of motorsport. With a career spanning several decades, he has established himself as one of the most influential figures in Formula One history, celebrated for his innovative designs and engineering prowess.

Newey's journey in motorsport began with significant roles at Leyton House and McLaren, where he served as technical director. His remarkable talent was further showcased as chief designer for March and Williams, leading to numerous championship victories. In 2006, he joined Red Bull Racing, where his designs propelled the team to unprecedented success, securing consecutive Drivers' and Constructors' titles from 2010 to 2013, as well as additional championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Among his many achievements, Newey's designs have clinched fourteen Drivers' and twelve Constructors' titles, along with an impressive two hundred twenty-three Grands Prix wins between 1991 and 2024. The RB19, a testament to his engineering genius, stands as the most successful Formula One car in history, boasting a remarkable win rate of ninety-five point forty-five percent across twenty-two races.

In May 2024, Newey announced his departure from day-to-day design duties at Red Bull Racing to focus on the RB17 hypercar project. He transitioned to Aston Martin in the first quarter of 2025, continuing to influence the automotive landscape while remaining involved with the RB17's final design updates.
