Agathe Uwilingiyimana

Agathe Uwilingiyimana, born on May twenty-third, nineteen fifty-three, was a prominent Rwandan political figure and educator. She made history as Rwanda's first and only female Prime Minister, serving from July eighteenth, nineteen ninety-three until her tragic assassination on April seventh, nineteen ninety-four, during the early days of the Rwandan genocide.

In addition to her role as Prime Minister, Uwilingiyimana held the position of acting head of state in the critical hours leading up to her death. Her leadership during a tumultuous period in Rwandan history marked her as a significant figure in the nation's political landscape.
