Agnes Osazuwa

Agnes Osazuwa, born on June twenty-six, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished female sprinter who has made her mark in international track and field competitions representing Nigeria.

Her most notable achievement came during the 2008 Summer Olympics held in Beijing, where she participated in the prestigious 4 × 100 metres relay. Alongside her teammates Gloria Kemasuode, Oludamola Osayomi, and Ene Franca Idoko, Osazuwa showcased her speed and skill, helping the team secure a place in the finals.

In the initial round, the Nigerian team finished fourth, clocking a time of forty-three point forty-three seconds, which was the best non-directly qualifying time and ranked sixth overall among sixteen competing nations. This performance earned them a spot in the final, where Osazuwa was replaced by Halimat Ismaila.

The final race saw the team achieving a remarkable time of forty-three point zero four seconds, securing a third-place finish and a bronze medal, trailing only behind the teams from Russia and Belgium. However, in two thousand sixteen, the Russian team was disqualified due to doping violations, which elevated Nigeria to the silver medal position, further solidifying Osazuwa's legacy in the sport.
