Agustín Rossi

Agustín Rossi, born on October eighteenth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Argentine engineer and politician affiliated with the Justicialist Party. His political career has been marked by significant roles, including his tenure as Minister of Defense during the administrations of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner from two thousand thirteen to two thousand fifteen, and Alberto Fernández from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-one.

Rossi's influence extends beyond the defense sector; he served as a National Deputy representing his home province of Santa Fe. In this capacity, he led the Front for Victory parliamentary bloc in the lower house, showcasing his leadership and commitment to his constituents.

On February fifteenth, two thousand twenty-three, Rossi was appointed Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers under President Alberto Fernández, further solidifying his position in the Argentine political landscape. In the two thousand twenty-three Argentine general election, he ran as the vice-presidential candidate alongside Sergio Massa as part of the Union for the Homeland coalition, although they ultimately lost to Javier Milei in the runoff.
