Ahmad Vahidi

Ahmad Vahidi, born on June twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent Iranian military officer and politician. He currently holds the position of commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), having been appointed to this role on March first, two thousand twenty-six. His career has been marked by significant military and political responsibilities, including serving as the deputy commander of the IRGC from December two thousand twenty-five until the death of Mohammad Pakpour during the Iran war in two thousand twenty-six.

Vahidi's political journey includes a tenure as the Minister of Interior from two thousand twenty-one to two thousand twenty-four, and he is presently a member of the Expediency Discernment Council. His influence extends beyond domestic politics, as he has faced international scrutiny, notably being charged by Argentina's highest court for his alleged involvement in the 1994 AMIA Jewish Community center attack in Buenos Aires, which led to an Interpol arrest warrant against him.
